What can't Wix Studio Two do yet?

As of November 2026, Studio Two has no site comments, no Velo, no inbound webhooks, no routers or scheduled jobs, and no local Git integration. CMS sources only display data, and code export doesn't work on sites with item pages. Some features are still rolling out account by account.

Key points

  • Several Velo-era features aren't in Studio Two's first release.
  • Code export is Beta and doesn't support sites with item pages.
  • Features marked coming soon may already be on some accounts, so check in the editor.

As of November 2026, Studio Two is missing a handful of things the older editors have, and some newer features are still in Beta or rolling out. The gaps that matter most are no site comments, no Velo, no inbound webhooks, no local Git integration, and a code export that won't work on sites with item pages. Check this list before you quote for a build or plan a move.

What's missing or limited right now?

  • Site comments. The Studio Editor has them. Studio Two doesn't.
  • Velo. No $w API or page code. Code is React and TypeScript.
  • Inbound webhooks. HTTP endpoints only serve the site's own frontend, so outside services can't call them.
  • Routers, web modules, scheduled jobs and data hooks. Wix lists them as not in this release.
  • Saving to the CMS without code. CMS data sources only display data.
  • Local IDE and Git integration. Code export, in Beta, is the route for working outside the browser.
  • Exporting sites with item pages or pages with repeaters. Export also doesn't support member login, app widgets other than React components, or code that waits for cookie consent.
  • Backend scaling. One backend instance per data centre with fixed limits, whatever the plan.

What about features marked coming soon?

Wix's Studio Two product page labels several features as coming soon, including Site Styles, Ani-Mate, Smart Edits and Harmony to Studio. The Help Center already documents Site Styles, Ani-Mate and Smart Edits. Our reading is that it's down to the gradual rollout, so a feature may be on one account and not on another.

Before we promise a feature to a client, we check it in the editor on that account. We'd suggest you do the same.
