What is Ani-Mate in Wix Studio Two?
Ani-Mate is an AI tool in Studio Two that adds layered animation to a whole section from a prompt or a reference. Applying it removes the section's existing animations, and new content added later means reapplying the effect.
Key points
- Ani-Mate builds section effects from a prompt or a reference.
- It replaces existing animations on the section.
- Mouse effects don't play on touchscreens; other motion does.
Ani-Mate is an AI tool in Wix Studio Two that adds layered animation to a whole section. Select a section, click the Ani-Mate icon, then describe the effect you want or pick one from the references. Applying it removes any animations already on that section, and if you add content later you'll need to apply it again.
How do you use Ani-Mate?
- Select a section and click the Ani-Mate icon.
- Write a prompt, optionally with a tone such as Playful or Bold, or choose from References or Show More.
- Click Generate, check the result, and click Apply on the floating toolbar.
- Fine-tune it in the Adjustments tab or by chatting. Reload Effect previews changes, and Delete Effect removes it.
What are the catches?
- It replaces the section's existing animations, including those on elements attached to it.
- Content added afterwards isn't animated. To reapply, copy your earlier prompt from the chat history and send it again.
- Not every component is supported, and Wix doesn't list which ones.
- Wix's product page still marks Ani-Mate as coming soon, so it may not be on every account yet.
What other motion does Studio Two have?
The Motion tab in the Inspector covers entrance, loop and scroll animations, click and hover interactions, and mouse effects. An element can have an entrance plus a loop, and settings can differ per breakpoint. Mouse effects need a cursor, so they don't play on touchscreens. Everything else plays on mobile.
Our take: add Ani-Mate last, once a section's content is final, so you only apply it once. If you'd like motion that helps rather than distracts, see our Wix Studio 2 service.
