Does Wix Studio Two support Velo?

No. Wix Studio Two doesn't use Velo. There's no $w API and no page code. Instead, you code in a workspace built into the editor, using TypeScript, React, npm packages and the Wix SDK. Wix says existing Wix Studio sites stay supported, but Velo code won't run in Studio Two as it is.
What replaces Velo in Studio Two?
Click the Design and Code toggle in the top bar, then Start Coding. Setup takes about a minute. You get Visual Studio Code in the browser, with a terminal, a problems panel and Wix logs, and Aria can write code with you from Ask AI.
Custom work is built as extensions:
- Editor React Components for custom elements on the page. Wix recommends these for custom UI.
- Data sources to feed your own data into elements.
- Function libraries for reusable code.
- Embedded scripts for things like tracking tags, each with a cookie consent type.
- Backend events, HTTP endpoints and service plugins for server-side logic.
- Dashboard pages for custom back-office screens.
Site SDK packages take over from the old wix-location, wix-window and wix-site APIs.
Which Velo features aren't there yet?
Wix's developer comparison lists several as not in this release: routers, web modules, scheduled jobs, data hooks, Velo packages, forms with code, and HTTP functions that outside services can call. If your site depends on any of those, plan around them before you move.
